Towards Better Democracy

Good words, well written, better the world. Good literature betters the world immeasurably.

The Grossness of Domestic Consumption

This morning I learnt that in this country with a GDP of 2084.6
billion, with a population of 318.9 million, of whom approximately
16.5 million own guns, though the true figure is likely much more,
a neighbouring city has a population of 36% of children who go
hungry in the summer, when food at school in not provided.

I learned of this from a man who leads a charity. A week before the
charities began offering food banks throughout the city, the
Health Department of the city passed a law that rules these deliveries
as catering with, as a result, a punitive tax.

The majority of these food banks are operated by non profit community
organizations and will simply have to withdraw from the programme.

Consequence

Consequence inconsequential
Substance insubstantial

Dishonest masquerade
Truth the cavalcade

Simple disobedience
Poverty’s munificence

Cruelty sublimation
Starvation plenty

Empty fulfillment
Fragment supplement

Eternal insouciance
Verity dissemblance

Look the blindness
The wise ignorance

The brave cowardice
Still the sacrifice

Hope in vapidity
Educated stupidity

Resonance distorts
Accordance in wars

Humanity infinity
Existentiality reality.
