Towards Better Democracy

Good words, well written, better the world. Good literature betters the world immeasurably.

I don’t know whether to say my credo. That is better but seems to smack of only self, which is not in the spirit in which I pursue my life in this rejuvenated stage.

Nonetheless, I fly my flag upon the mast. So that others know what lies within this heart, within this soul.

I might as well say it plainly so that there is no mistaking me. I am deadly serious in all I do. For, were I not to do what I am doing, and will continue to do, god willing, I may as well climb into my  grave for life is futile and meaningless to me unless I do.

I doubt I shall say this in the terrestrial world. There seems no need. But here, upon this platform, it does seem worthwhile to state my case, and even be imperative. I am driven in the course which, the path, on which, I wish to pursue my life as I, we, all of us, go forward in the months and years ahead.

A bold statement, true. But, unless one vocalises what is in one’s heart and soul, others do not, and will not know, who, for the most part, are unlikely to meet me and see in the flesh, that in spirit and in action, that on the earth, I am as good as my word. For it is in deed that one speaks truth, the words only a signal of what one might or might not do.

This might, therefore, be said to be a declaration of who I am and how I am. I think Google has it wrong when they put upon their mast that they seek to do no harm. This is less than adequate. To do only good is by far a better creed.

The credo

I do not seek fame, acclaim, far less celebrity. I seek, and even demand, respect for being honourable and true. And, I will pursue fortune as part of all my endeavours For that gives the human an ability to speak and spread his wealth, and have greater effect than in any other way. In pursuit of the good. I don’t wish to be a jesus. I am too humble and modest than that. I am a man among men. And I am a man. But better, I am a human being in all its better senses.

  1. Malcolm…So wonderfully spoken! It does seem of the credo I hold in heart. Totally enjoyed your voice from within.
