Towards Better Democracy

Good words, well written, better the world. Good literature betters the world immeasurably.

How to commit suicide as a President: sack all your staff.  And stand back and watch all those you don’t sack leaving you like rats from a sinking ship

Am I gloating writing as I am and appending the links that I have?

Mr Trump is the Enemy. In a blog called Towards Better Democracy you can expect me to say noting less.

Enemy is capitalized because Mr Trump is such, not just as an individual but all those like him, either in his native country or any others where such a blight exists.

Point one

Trump sacks Tillerson as secretary of state

Point two

The White House revolving door: Who’s gone?

Here is an incomplete list compiled from CNN, ABC News and the above link

Gary Cohn, Chief Economic Adviser – 6 March 2018
Hope Hicks, White House Communications Director – 28 February 2018
Rob Porter, White House Staff Secretary – 8 February 2018
Andrew McCabe, FBI deputy director – 29 January 2018
Omarosa Manigault-Newman – 13 December 2017
Dina Powell, Deputy national security adviser – 8 December 2017
Tom Price, health secretary – 29 September 2017
Sebastian Gorka, Deputy assistant to the president – 25 August 2017

Michael Flynn, national security adviser – 13 February 2017
Sally Yates, acting attorney general – 30 January 2017
Paul Manafort, Trump campaign manager – 19 August 2016

A few others (there are more)

  • Josh Raffel: Deputy communications director
  • Rick Dearborn: deputy chief of staff
  • George Sifakis: director, Office of Public Liaison
  • Ezra Cohen-Watnick: senior director for intelligence programs, National Security Council
  • Michael Short: senior press assistant
  • Walter Shaub: director, Office of Government Ethics
  • Vivek Murthy: surgeon general
  • Angella Reid: chief usher, White House
  • Katie Walsh: deputy chief of staff

The combined list is already tediously long. But let us also notethere are those whom Mr Trump has threated to fire or strong armed to get his way.
