Towards Better Democracy

Good words, well written, better the world. Good literature betters the world immeasurably.

Ugliness

Money ill got
Squandered in a circus display
And saddles on us
Brute edifices

Many of these survive
A testament to the paucity
Of their owners
Ego
Took from us
In our nieivty
Willingly
What was for us
Too hard to be got

Money, surely the ugliest thing
But a means of exchange
Not? Marx’s deprecate
Adam Smith celebrate
Without it we are lost
911 shopping

But underneath
Money’s defilement
Of structures gross
There survives
Despite all attempts to
Squash
The desire
To create beauty

Survives despite all attempts
Determinations to
Exterminate

And still, on occasion,
Seen.
