Towards Better Democracy

Good words, well written, better the world. Good literature betters the world immeasurably.

November, 2018 to October, 2019 – a Year from Hell in Review

The end of a week from Hell was marked by a day from Hell, my birthday, 10 November,  2018.

November 2018 saw in me a loss of faith of income from unexpected sources. I thought to myself at the time, “This can’t keep happening.” But, why should it not have? Faith makes such occurrences possible.

The diagnosis of Wet Macular Degeneration in April, 2018, an incurable condition, led to despair at the loss of the ability to read, a catastrophic loss, from which I recovered just three weeks ago. I shall be in treatment for WMD for the rest of my life.

However, with recovery from the shock, one picks up from where one left off, albeit a year ago, however difficult that is

A dubious benefit from the condition is that I am forced to be patient, a quality for I am not well known

I doubt that such a year could be classed as a Dark Night of the Soul. I am not quite sure how the Year from Hell could be classified 🙂  Perhaps a present reader could leave a comment on this. Platitudes are not welcome.
